The course content is quite comprehensive that encapsulates each and every aspect of yoga. First and foremost, the history of yoga along with it’s following in different religion has been explained. Yogic Philosophy has been described on the basis of ‘Ashtang Yoga’ prescribed by Maharishi Patanjali in his famous Scripture “Yoga Sutra”. It includes the first 7 limbs of Classical Ashtang yoga namely Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharna and Dhyana in much detail. The 8th limb ‘Samadhi’ has been included just in brief and not considered as an achievable target for common man and thus for yoga teacher too. Apart from the components of Ashtang Yoga, some ancient yogic scriptures like Yoga Sutra by Maharishi Patanjali, Hatha Yoga Pradeepika and GherandSamhita have also been discussed in easy and descriptive manner.
As far as practical Yoga is concerned, all the components are covered very carefully with their history, method of performance, benefits and contra indications. Asanas or physical postures are classified on 2 bases i.e. Bhavas and Affected Body part. Some advance asanas have also been included and described.
Two sets of pranayama viz. Yogendra Pranayama 1-9 and all other 9 classical yoga pranayama are included. Different techniques of pratyahara, dharna and meditation are incorporated. Apart from Ashtang Yoga, all other aspects of yogic practices like Surya Namaskar, Kundlini, Nadis, Chakras, Bandhas, Mudras and different categories of Shatkarmas have been given equal and enough place. The concepts of Yogic Diet and Yogic lifestyle along with do’s and don’ts have also been defined and described in the above said course.
In recent time, the Yoga has been widely used as a ‘Therapy’ all over the world. For this purpose, a detail description of Human anatomy and physiology is made an integral part of the course in which the participant is introduced with the structure and working of the human body. Participants are also informed about the various disorders associated with different systems along with their yogic therapy schedule. All the essential and important information and instruction regarding the teaching practices are explained as well.
After getting certification approved by Yoga Alliance, Indian Yoga Association, Yoga Federation and The Yoga Institute, the essential ‘Ethical responsibilities’ of a YogaLife Global’s Yoga Instructors are enlisted. Last but not the least, the required guidelines have also been incorporated for the new yoga teacher to open and manage their own yoga classes.
The online exam will be based upon the courseware that is provided to the participant. The exam consists of multiple choice questions (MCQ) from all chapters of the courseware. In all there will be 500 MCQ’s and all will be compulsory.
